Gilbert Herbert le was born in 1120 in of Staffordshire, England.1 Gilbert Herbert le's father was William le Blount and his mother was Sarah de Munchensy. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert le Blount and Alice (Alicia) de Colekirke; his maternal grandparents were Hubert de Munchesni and Agnes FitzJohn.
