Hugh Bigod 
Hugh was born about 1095 in Of, Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, England and his baptism took place in Of, Framlingham, Suffolk, England.1 Hugh's father was Roger le Bigod and his mother was Adeline de GRENTEMESNIL. His paternal grandparents were Robert le Bigod and Miss ST SAVEUR; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de GRENTMESNIL and Alice de BEAUMONT. He had a sister named Gunnor (Gunnora). He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named William le, Maud le, Cicely and Jane le. He died in en route to Crusade in the Holy Land. He was buried in Thetford Abbey, Norfolk, England.1 1 General Notes
