Benjamin G. was born in 1702 in Prince Georges Co., MD. Benjamin G.'s father was Guy II White and his mother was Elizabeth Griffith. His paternal grandparents were Guy I White and Sarah Wright; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Griffith and Elizabeth Evans. He had two brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Samuel, Guy III, Sarah, Elizabeth and Francis. He was the second youngest of the six children.
