Alexander Slaymaker 
Alexander was born on May 13th, 1812 in Frederick Co., MD. Alexander's father was Alexander Slaymaker and his mother was Sarah Davis. His paternal grandparents were John Slaymaker and Elizabeth White. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Jasper, Henry, Francis, Lavinia and Sarah Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 72 on July 28th, 1884 in Iowa Co., IA. He was buried in 1884 in Ohio Cemetery, Iowa Co., IA.General Notes
