Lois Shedenhelm 
Lois was born on April 18th, 1914 in Marengo, IA. Lois' father was Grafton William Shedenhelm and her mother was Phoebe Etta Yearian. Her paternal grandparents were Levi Jacob Shedenhelm and Martha A. Wood; her maternal grandparents were Albert Yearian and Phoeba Hughes. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Jacob William, Russell Grafton, Ray Fielding, Martha Beatrice and Lovell Helen. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died at 7 months old on November 19th, 1914 in Marengo, IA. She was buried in 1914 in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Marengo, IA.1 General Notes

Lois died as an infant. The following is taken from an obituary notice,
however there is no date given:
"Shedenhelm Infant Dead. Lois, the six months old daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. G.W. Shedenhelm died this morning about 8 o'clock after a
protracted illness. The parents have the warm sympathy of their many
friends in this hour of sorrow. The funeral is appointed to take place
from the home tomorrow, (Friday) at 1 o'clock p.m. Rev. Geo. Monkman,
officiating. Interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery."
Death Record on file in the courthouse at Marengo, Iowa lists the cause
of death as "improper feeding" and gives her age as 7 mo. 12 days.
