Benjamin Rush was born in 1820 in Lancaster Co., PA. Benjamin Rush's father was Evan Green and his mother was Isabella Slaymaker. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Green and Jane Roberts; his maternal grandparents were Amos Slaymaker and Isabella Fleming. He had four brothers and a sister, named Amos Slaymaker, Henry Fleming, Jasper, Evan and Cornelia. He was the third oldest of the six children.General Notes
