Lydia Melvina was born in 1843 in Frederick Co., MD. Lydia Melvina's father was Nathan Englar and her mother was Margaret Kinzer. Her maternal grandparents were John Kinzer and Anne Slaymaker. She had four brothers and a sister, named Henry, Josiah, John David, Nathan Adison and Ann Elizabeth. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died in 1843.General Notes
