(King) Harald I was born in 0850 in NORWAY. (King) Harald I's father was (King) Halfdan GUDRODSSON and his mother was Ragnhild SIGURDSDATTER. His paternal grandfather was Gurdrod * UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Sigurd "Hjort" * HELGASSON and Ingebjorg "Thyrne" * HARALDATTER. He was an only child. He died in NORWAY.General Notes

King Harald I (Fairhair) Halfdansson was King from age 10 years old and had four children by his 8th wife, Snaefrid Svasdtr (Swasisdatter): Sigurd, Halfdan, Gudred, and Ragnvald. He also had seven other wives before her, and concubines. He had a total of 20 sons & 5 daughters; 17 other sons and four other daughters aside from this marriage. He ruled all of Norway, though his "Norway" was split up after his death by the constant feuding of his sons, who all let jealosy get the better of them. His favorite son, Eric "Bloodaxe," who ultimately killed Sigurd in 937 AD, because he and Sigurd's half-brothers had conspired to trick & kill Eric "Bloodaxe" instead.
