John Simms 
John was born in 1747 in Charles County, Maryland. John's father was Fidelmus Simms and his mother was Elizabeth Bryan. His paternal grandparents were Anthony Semmes and Ann Sissons. He had a brother and three sisters, named Mark, Elizabeth, Simms and Simms. He was the second youngest of the five children.-
