Anne Simms 
Anne was born in 1709 in Charles County, Maryland. Anne's father was James Semmes and her mother was Mary Goodrick. Her paternal grandparents were Marmaduke Semmes and Fortune Watson; her maternal grandfather was Robert Goodrick. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Milburn, Marmaduke, Ignatius, James, Susannah, Mary, Julianna and Susannah. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
