Thomas K. was born in February 1850 in TN.1 Thomas K.'s father was Unknown ? and his mother was Winnie Runions. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Runions and Parthenia Grinder. He had four brothers and a sister, named John McHenry, Joseph, James P., William Abner and Mary Jane. He was the second oldest of the six children.
