Laura Belle Martin 
Laura Belle was born on July 8th, 1883 in ,,Texas. Laura Belle's father was William Thomas (Tom) Martin and her mother was Levicy Jane (Louisa) Pilcher. Her paternal grandparents were George W. Martin and Elizabeth Kay; her maternal grandparents were Daniel C. III Pilcher and Lucinda Jane DeMasters. She had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas Wesley, Charlie and Jennie. She had two half-sisters named Ruby and Elizabeth. She died at the age of 62 on October 6th, 1945 in Stillwater, Payne Co, Oklahoma. She was buried in Elm Grove Cemetery, Stillwater, Oklahoma.General Notes
Laura's mother was Lousia Pilcher daughter of Lucinda DeMasters and
Daniel C. Pilcher. Daniel was a Confederate soldier that excaped from a
prison camp during the war and moved his mother, wife and children to
Texas. Laura's mother died when she was 12 years old, she had a step
mother named Ellen, Laura's mother or father may have been part Indian,
family stories are that Thomas brought Laura to Indian Territory from
Texas as a small child to be put on the Indian Rolls. Laura also had
several brothers, one was Wesley and one was Charlie. 1910 census Laura
says her mother was born in Missouri.
