Countess Sofie of Rheineck

Sofie was born about 1117 in Rheineck, Rheinland, Prussia.¹ Sofie's father was Count Otto of Salm and her mother was Countess Gertrud of Northeim. Her paternal grandparents were Count Hermann of Salm I and Countess Sofie. She had a brother and a sister, named Otto and Beatrix. She was the second oldest of the three children.
