Gunhild's father was Mieszko Piast of Poland and her mother was Dobravy of Bohemia. Her paternal grandparents were Duke Ziemomysl of Poland and Gorka of Poland; her maternal grandparents were Duke Boleslav (The Cruel) of Bohemia I and Duchess of Bohemia Biagota of Stockow. She had a brother named Vladivoj. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named The Brave, Eckhard and The White. She died at the age of 47 in 1014.¹
