Count Burkhard of Hohenberg

Burkhard was born about 1096 in Zollern, Wessingen, Hohaenzollern, Prussia.¹ Burkhard's father was Count Friedrich of Zollern I and his mother was Countess Udihild of Zollern and Urach. His paternal grandparents were Burkard von Zolorin I and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Count Egino of Urach II and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Friedrich, Egino, Ulrich, Gottfried, Adalbert, Udihild, Emma and Luitgard. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died after 1150.¹
