William, known as Towhead, was born in 0947 in Poitiers, Aquitaine.1  Towhead's father was Bosun II and his mother was Constance.  His paternal grandparents were Rotbold Of Autun and <Unknown>.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 90 in September 1037.2
