William FitzGerald de Windsor

William was born before 1100 in Carew Castle, Pembrokeshire, Wales.¹ William's father was Geraldus Fitzwalter de Wyndsore and his mother was Nest verch Deheubarth Rhys. His paternal grandparents were Walter Fitzotho de Wyndsore and Gladys verch Rhywallon; his maternal grandparents were King Rhys ap Tewdwr and Gladys verch Rhywallon. He had a brother and a sister, named Maurice and Hadewise. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named The Consul and Maud. He died in 1173 in Carew Castle, Pembrokeshire, Wales.²
