William was born in Sefton, Lancashire, England.1   William's father was Adam Molyneux and his mother was Letitia de Brinley.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Molyneux and Edith Botiller. He had a brother named Roger.  He died about 1289.  His burial was in Canterbury Cathedral, Kent, England.1 2
