Domangart Mac Aedan

Domangart was born about 0552 in Dalriada, Argyll, Scotland.¹ Domangart's father was Aedan of Dalriada and his mother was Domelch of the Picts. His paternal grandparents were Gabhran of Dalriada and verch Dumnagual. He had eight brothers and a sister, named Eochaid, Arthur, Dongardius, Tuatrhal, Bran, Conaing, Gartnait, Baithene and Maithgemm. He died due to Battle in 0596 in Saxonia, Northumbria, Britain.¹

General Notes
- Domangart may have been a grandson rather than a son of Áedán, most likely another son of Conaing. The main line of Cenél nGabráin kings were the descendants of Eochaid Buide through his son Domnall Brecc, but the descendants of Conaing successfully contested for the throne throughout the 7th century and into the 8th.
