Anna was born on November 21st, 1746 in Bucks Co., Pennsylvania.1   Anna's father was Johan Peter Houk and her mother was Anna Maria Schwedener.  Her paternal grandparents were Hans Jacob Houk and Margaretha Barbara Loch; her maternal grandparents were Johan Martin Schwedener and <Unknown>. She had seven brothers named Nicholas, Barnet, George, Jacob, Michael, Felix and John. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jacob, David, Abraham and Elizabeth.
