Robert was born about 1680 in Charles Co., Maryland.1   Robert's father was Joseph Hinson and his mother was Elizabeth Hoyle.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Hinson and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Charles Hoyle and <Unknown>. He had three brothers named Charles, Edmund and Joseph.  He was the second oldest of the four children.
