Auchenius' father was Prefect of the Roman Empire Anicius Auchenius Bassus and his mother was Tourania Honorata. His paternal grandparents were Amnius Nicomachus Paulinus Anicius and Auchenia Bassa Bassus. He had a sister named Turrenia. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 74 in 0408.¹
