Rowland Skipsey Waterhouse

Rowland was born on January 29th, 1818 in Reading and his baptism took place on April 15th, 1818 in Church Street-Wesleyan, Reading Circuit.^1 2

Rowland's father was Rev John Waterhouse and his mother was Jane Beadnell Skipsey.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Waterhouse and Hannah Houlden. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named John, William, Jabez, Joseph, George, Joseph, Samuel, Jane, Mary, Emma and Hannah.  He was the third oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 82 in 1900.¹
