William was born in 1797. William's father was George Turner and his mother was Mary Bradbury. His paternal grandparents were Edward Turner and Leah. He had three brothers and two sisters, named George, Joseph, Edward, Hannah and Mary. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 27 on November 13th, 1824. He was buried in Hayfield, Derby.1
