Arthur was born in 1895. Arthur's father was Arthur Pirt and his mother was Louisa Towill. His paternal grandparents were Francis Peart and Hester Gulwell; his maternal grandparents were John Towill and Elizabeth Sainsbury. He died at the age of 94 in 1989.-
