Ellen Cowell

Ellen was born on January 3rd, 1865 in Salford.¹

Ellen's father was George Joseph Cowell and her mother was Lucy Conoly Walker.  Her paternal grandparents were George Moulting Cowell and Ann; her maternal grandparents were Charles Walker and Ellen Connolly. She had three brothers and four sisters, named George, Frederick, William, Annie, Lucy, Bertha and Margaret.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 91 on October 9th, 1956.

‌Ellen and Herbert were married in a civil ceremony on May 3rd, 1888 in Salford Registry Office.²
