William Bourne 
William was born in 1773. William's father was William Bourne (of Eastwood) and his mother was Edith Dawes. His paternal grandparents were Richard Bourne (of Eastwood) and Rebecca Dod (of Eastwood). He had five brothers and four sisters, named George, Richard, Gervase, Joseph, John, Sarah, Rebekah, Edith and Mary. He died at the age of 46 in 1819. He was buried on June 11th, 1819 in Belper.1 Death Notes

he last Will and Testament of William Bourne of Swadlincoat in the Parish of Church Gresley in the County of Derby, that is to say he gives into the hands of Joseph Bourne his son the whole of his property to be disposed of as follows or in the case of his death into the hand of John Bourne of Belper lawn and Joseph Bourne of Denby Bottle works, his brothers, viz all his just debts to be paid, and funeral expenses. Ann Bourne his wife to have forty pounds a year during her life the whole of his property to be equally divided amongst his children namely George, Joseph, William, Benjamin, Sarah, Edith, Rebecca, and Mary. Ann Bourne his wife to have the use of Sarah, Edith, Rebecca, and Mary’s property until they severally come to age. But in case of death before they come to age to be divided amongst the surviving children first to be divided amongst his sons the household furniture eventually to be Joseph Bourne’s for his trouble of executing this Will the bargin made by William Bourne with George Bourne his son and John C(ounie?) both of Burslem to be executed the same as if he had lived. Joseph Bourne his son may choose his share of business either at Burslem, or Belper, or Gresley. William Bourne his son to choose either of two remaining. Benjamin Bourne his son the one remaining when they arrive at age extoplury(?). Belper which is attainable at the age of twenty years the property at present consists of £5400 in the hands of George Bourne and John C(ounie?) of Burslem houses and potworks at Church Gresley at £900. The Belper and Denby Bottle works and three little houses at Burslem. Signed and sealed in presence John Hunt, Joseph Camp, Sarah Wood, this ninth day of June one thousand eight hundred and nineteen. William and Hannah were married in a religious ceremony on January 17th, 1798 in Duffield Derby.2
