There is a memorial vase in Cleethorpes Cemetery with the inscription “Killed at sea - from his loving children”. A service was held at the cemetery on 7th February 1898.
Thomas May Steer
Thomas was born on November 11th, 1860 in Myton, Hull.1 He died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Lost at sea, at the age of 37 on January 13th, 1898.
