Thomas was born in 1596 and his baptism took place on May 16th, 1596 in Horsham Sussex.1  Thomas' father was Thomas Stere and his mother was Mary Ireland. He had four brothers and a sister, named Philip, Edward, John, Nicholas and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the six children.
