Benjamin was born in 1792 and his baptism took place on June 7th, 1792 in Petworth.1  Benjamin's father was John Steer and his mother was Sarah Steer. He had a sister named Tryphena.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 33 in 1825 in Petworth.  He was buried on December 18th, 1825 in Petworth.2 2
