Albert was born in 1880 in Billingshurst Sussex.1  Albert's father was Clement Steer and his mother was Susan Steer.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Eliza Steer; his maternal grandparents were George Steer and Charlotte. He had a sister named Anne.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 8 in 1888.2
