Robert was born about 1874 in Chelsea Middlesex.1   Robert's father was David STEERS and his mother was Mary STEERS. He had three brothers and three sisters, named David, Joseph, Charles, Rebecca, Mellison and Jessie.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
