Nellie J was born about 1873 in Brentford Middlesex.1   Nellie J's father was William STEERS and her mother was Mary STEERS. She had four brothers and a sister, named William R J, Horace G, Alexander, Joseph M and Daisy.  She was the oldest of the six children.
