Helen was born about 1889 in Clapham Surrey.1   Helen's father was William J STEERS and her mother was Mary Ann STEERS. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Fredk W, William E, Sidney, Harry, Mary A and Sarah.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
