David was born about 1843 in Chelsea Middlesex.1   David's father was Richard STEERS and his mother was Ann STEERS.  His maternal grandfather is <Unknown> and his maternal grandmother was Elizabeth CANNON. He had two brothers named Richard and William.  He was the oldest of the three children.
