Charlotte was born about 1873 in Sittingbourne, Kent.1   Charlotte's father was Lawrance W STEERS and her mother was Charlotte STEERS. She had four brothers and a sister, named John T, Benjamin H, Albert, Luther and Elizabeth.  She was the oldest of the six children.
