Annie was born about 1886 in Oundle, Northamptonshire.1   Annie's father was William STEERS and her mother was Elizabeth STEERS. She had four brothers and a sister, named Benjamin, George, Charles, Harry and Bessie.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
