Alfred was born about 1872 in Middlesex.1   Alfred's father was Alfred STEERS and his mother was Mary A STEERS.  His paternal grandfather was Joseph STEERS and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, John, Emily and Florence.  He was the oldest of the five children.
