Edwin W was born about 1894 in Aveton Gifford Devon.1   Edwin W's father was John A STEERE and his mother was Elizabeth STEERE.  His paternal grandparents were Steere and Margaret STEERE. He had a brother and two sisters, named Francis J, Mary E and Margaret M.  He was the youngest of the four children.
