Nora was born about 1893 in Sunderland, Durham.1   Nora's father was Charles W STEER and her mother was Mary STEER.  Her paternal grandfather is <Unknown> and her paternal grandmother was Hannah STEER. She had three brothers named Lance, George and Nathaniel.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
