Mildred was born about 1889 in Brighton Sussex.1   Mildred's father was Steer and her mother was Harriett STEER.  Her maternal grandfather is <Unknown> and her maternal grandmother was Kizah PATE. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Oliver, Herbert, Alice and Lily.  She was the youngest of the five children.
