Margaret was born about 1878 in Lingfield Surrey.1   Margaret's father was Alfred STEER and her mother was Elizabeth STEER. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Frederick, Herbert, Mable, Annie, Jessie and Daisy.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.
