James STEER

James was born in 1766 in Tonbridge, Kent..¹   James' father was Humphrey STEER and his mother was Elizabeth HAM.  His paternal grandparents were James STEER and Elizabeth. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Humphrey, William, Samuel, Ann, Elizabeth and Charlotte.  He was the second youngest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Humphrey, George and Sarah.
