George was born about 1877 in New Clee, Lincolnshire.1   George's mother was Caroline STEER. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Jasper, John W, Rosetta, Ada, Lilly, Violet, Beatrice Carol and Daisy.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  George is no longer alive.
