Florence Jane was born about 1872 in Devonport Devon.1  Florence Jane's father was John Tho STEER and her mother was Elizibeth Jane STEER. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John Willm, Geo Alfred, Selina Emma, Elizibeth Mary and Sarah Ellen.  She was the third oldest of the six children.
