Edith M was born about 1899 in Waterloo, Lancashire.1   Edith M's father was William A STEER and her mother was Ellen STEER. She had a brother and four sisters, named Percy, Mary J, Elizabeth A, Ellen and Florence.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
