Charles was born about 1894 in Kensington, London.1   Charles' father was John W STEER and his mother was Caroline H STEER.  His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John H G, Thomas W, Helen S and Rosa.  He was the second youngest of the five children.
