Benjamin I was born about 1890 in Milton, Hampshire.1   Benjamin I's father was Edward P STEER and his mother was Emma STEER. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Arthur E, William T, Alice E, Bertha A and Eliza.  He was the youngest of the six children.
