Arthur William was born about 1909 in Norfolk Gt Yarmouth.1   Arthur William's father was Robert STEER and his mother was Lydia Sarah STEER. He had a brother and three sisters, named Robert Charles, Lilian Marjorie, Hilda May and Edith Elizabeth.  He was the third oldest of the five children.
