Annie was born about 1878 in Shoreham, Sussex.1   Annie's father was Charles STEER and her mother was Sarah A STEER. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John W, Walter F, Frederick, William, Sarah A and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the seven children.
